Mizner Park Penthouse
The Challenge
A recently retired couple downsizing from a 7,000 sq ft estate wanted their Mizner Park penthouse to feel as grand as their previous home without the maintenance burden. Their existing furniture — purchased over 25 years — was heavy, dark, and ill-suited to the penthouse's dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the park.
Our Approach
We started with a full furniture edit, retaining only three sentimental pieces and re-upholstering them in performance linen. The replacement palette leaned into the penthouse's natural assets: the light, the views, the ceiling height. Drapery was kept to a minimum — sheer panels only — to preserve sightlines. A custom walnut credenza and a curated gallery wall of abstract works brought warmth without competing with the architecture.
The Result
A penthouse that feels simultaneously spacious and deeply personal. The clients can host their grown children comfortably, enjoy quiet mornings with unobstructed sunrise views, and finally live in a space that matches where they are in life — not where they were twenty years ago.
